Read *every word* of an auction page

Many people skip text on an auction page. Yet reading what is actually on the page can save so much time AND possibly prevent you from being ripped off! There has been a recent craze in setting up auctions for in-demand items such as new mobile phones or new games consoles like the Xbox360 and having a massive amount of text in the auction descripton. Boring to read? Of course it is! We all know what an Xbox is and most of us are familiar with mobile phones - especially if you have found the page using a particular brand or model type in the search. This means that most feel they do not really need to read every single line and instead just want to know the price and delivery charges. But recently the trend for naughty sellers is to hide a crucial piece of information way down in the middle of a boring paragraph. It normally reads something like 'you are only bidding on a picture of the Xbox/mobile phone'. Of course this is not good. Though technically probably not illegal, it still seems to indicate an attempt to defraud a potential buyer who just wants a new console or phone or whatever. So read that text people - A few extra seconds could save you so many problems. On a lighter note as a buyer I have found it good practice to double-check the bottom section of auction pages in search of payment options and/or how much postage will be. I have found that people still ask me how much postage is for some of my items, even though I have it mentioned at the bottom of my auctions under a section 'payment and terms'. Lots of time can be saved by just double-checking details.
